How is new OnePlus 8T?

After the fulfilling release of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus is adding one more of its masterpiece to the 8 series. Yes, the OnePlus 8T is soon-to-be released on Oct 14, 2020 at 7:30 PM (IST). The OnePlus flagship device has already been teased on Amazon. As per press release the launching event will be broadcasted in the official OnePlus website.

New features

 

Based on the information that were leaked, the new flagship camera with nightscape will allow to click the finest and the brightest shot at night light reducing undesired blurring and noises unlike the cameras provided in the preceding models. The camera provided in the OnePlus 8T is going to be with the most high end camera technology OnePlus came up with till date.

 

The new 65 watt warp charge as advertised says, it will support ultra fast charging within 15 minutes. However, other sources revealed that the battery in the device will have a capacity of 4,500 mAh poly battery split in two halves of 2,250 mAh each. The new 65 watts charger will do a 65% charge in 15 minutes.

 

The new device is said to have a 120 Hz fluid AMOLED HD 10+ display with a size of 6.55 inches screen, 84.3% screen to body ratio. It will allow us to see the finest pictures and videos upto the resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. As you all know the durability of the glass is as important as the features, This time OnePlus came up with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection against drops. It can survive upto 1.2 meter, waist- high drops onto hard and rough surfaces. As you can see in the pictures the display comes in full screen same as the previous model with a little cut of the size and shape for the front camera. 

 

The OnePlus 8T is programmed to be operated with the latest Android flagship, Android 11 with all the new Oxygen OS 11 features. Oxygen 11 is going to have a familiar yet a fresh interface. OnePlus claims that the new operating system uses AI to pull up the best images with the camera to display in larger size. With Oxygen 11 users would not need to go to the gallery app to share images and videos. It can now be directly shared from the camera app itself. Users would no longer need to swipe down the notification panel to adjust the brightness of the screen, a simple swipe will give you the access to adjust screen brightness levels. With brightness comes the integrated dark mode. It can now be scheduled to sunset or at any custom time as per your convenience. Simply it means that the latest version of Oxygen 11 with the 8T is going to be faster, smoother than never before, it’s new features are specially designed to make one handed operation easier and convenient for the users.

 

Colour turquoise green has been revealed in the teasers on amazon and various other gadgets related websites, no other colour options has been revealed so far. The front profile of the new device is similar to the OnePlus8, at the back this time they have changed the design of the camera module to a rectangular shape with four lenses, LED flash and sensor now it’s more aligned to the left unlike the preceding model aligned to the centre.
